Pakistan announce Playing XI

Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman have been selected by Pakistan to bat first against India. Imam-ul-Haq put up a great performance against Bangladesh, but Fakhar Zaman has yet to play a big innings in the Asia Cup. In 84 balls, Imam scored 78 runs. The third batter will be the captain Babar Azam, and the fourth batsman will be wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan.

The middle-order batsman, Iftikhar Ahmed, will bat in position number five. The middle order for Pakistan has performed well in the competition and has been crucial under pressing circumstances. The sixth-place finisher, Salman Ali Agha, will also serve as a part-time spin bowler.

Shadab Khan, the team's primary spinner and current number 7 batter, will play both positions. Shadab had recently put on fantastic performances, but in the middle overs of a game where he failed to claim any wickets, he battled against Indian batters. In each of his attacks, Hardik Pandya has singled out Shadab across the park, and in Colombo, he intends to retaliate. Mohammad Nawaz will be replaced as an all-around player by Faheem Ashraf. In the previous game, Ashraf had a wicket against Bangladesh.

With players like Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Harris Rauf, Pakistan's speed attack is undoubtedly one of the greatest in the world right now. The majority of the resistance they have faced has been troubled by them. In order to keep India to 266 runs, Shaheen got four wickets against them, and Harris Rauf also made a significant contribution. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Shreyas Iyer all fell victim to Pakistan's fast bowlers, as Team India lost four wickets for just 66 runs. Pakistan aims to be among the most successful teams competing in the Asia Cup.
